"Fervent Desires"

Your visage plays softly on my mind,
sweet queen from another dimension;
fervent desire together, we shall find.

Royal life spent alone cannot be kind,
I sense yearning in remote ascension;
your visage plays softly on my mind.

Souls strive to leave illusions behind,
aching only for their twin extension;
fervent desire together, we shall find.

In lucidity's grasp I have been blind,
my life a hollow game of pretension;
your visage plays softly on my mind.

Ever have our destinies been twined,
your realm's not a feigned invention;
fervent desire together, we shall find.

Into your arms this spirt shall wind,
an ensured haven, my only intention;
your visage plays softly on my mind -
fervent desire together, we shall find.

"FLUID SEASONS""

*Spring's Fling"

Renewed flavors boost
pysches starved by wintry blast
of grey solitude.

"Summer's Fun"

Dragonflies soaring
signal ice tea memories
taped with sunny hearts.

"Autumn's Fall"

Leaves chased off perches
they have embraced since their birth
as gusty winds mock.

"Winter's Freeze"

Icicles adorn
as snow covers tender thoughts
blanketed with you.

"Rest My Darling"

Rest my darling, I am here
no harm shall befall you;
ever I shall remain near.

My focus is forever clear,
this devotion I feel is true;
rest my darling, I am here.

You are to my heart, so dear
evil cannot claim its due;
ever I shall remain near.

Into your troubles I will peer,
you don't have to leave a clue;
rest my darling, I am here.

Dawn's light will reveal no fear,
innocence will be its hue;
ever I shall remain near.

To the world we may seem mere
but our love is possessed by few;
rest my darling, I am here -
ever shall I remain near.

"Heaven's Light"

Sing a lullaby

sweetly so my torn spirit

can mend in your tune:

you are the angel I need;

redeem me to heaven's light.

Where My Heart Spills Poetically

Because Of You by Rick

animfantsy-1.gif picture by lostineternity99

"Because Of You"

Seek me along the subtle forest
that extends effortlessly towards
my lost heart...

always have I loved you, aeons
ago we met on crystal sands
that erased the meaning of time.

Ancient are the rituals that bind
our spirits as one...clasp tightly
to our heritage, the birthright

of twin souls to share adoration
throughout infinity's subtle watch...
I cannot breathe or suffer

to spend one moment, alone,
without you
. Lethal are heartaches
that go unsoothed...

let not the trepidations of fate
diminish that which cannot be eased;
you, me, us...forever and beyond

our devotion will survive. I inhale
loving kindness and exhale
purity...because of you, eternity

will be spent in blissful reverence...

because of you
.

Inseparable by Rick

SoulMate.jpg picture by lostineternity99

"Inseparable"

In nestled surroundings of my mind
I've created your image - or did you
birth me into subsistence? Ever you've
been meticulous in safekeeping a future

I've not yet experienced; why then
do I feel we've always been together?
Yesterday I felt your grace, today
it shines with undeniable radiance;

tomorrow's rainbows coalesce only
in the warmth of your heart. Were
the heavens yet formed when you first
touched my soul - ensuring I'd never

be alone? I pray for guidance; it's your
faith that ensures my steps remain true.
I dream wondrous visions of lifetimes
spent embraced by a love I can't explain;

you abide within them all. Impeccable
is our Creator and so too His design
for immortal rapture between two auras
which have only seemed to have been

separated - whisper me into our eternity.

    It's so surreal, Rick.

    No NFL team should lose a football game when they're leading 27-10 with only five minutes left in the game.

    And yet, the Houston Texans did it with ease.

    Many NFL experts are calling yesterday's loss by the Texans, "The greatest regular-season choke job in NFL history."

    And I agree... It was a choke job.

    You don't see that type of historical collapse happening in professional football.

    It happens in college and high school, but not in the NFL.

    A 17-point lead with five minutes left in the game is generally safe in the NFL. According to a statistical website, you have better odds of winning the lottery than an NFL team has of blowing a 17-point lead with five minutes left in the game, especially a home team!

    If that's true, I may win the $50 milliion jackpot later this week!

    The Colts owe quite a bit of gratitude to the Texans, becuase the Texans single-handily made sure the otherwise struggling Colts still have a "fighting chance" to make the playoffs this season.

    I'm not sure how the Texans can top yesterday's monumental collapse. Perhaps the Texans will take a 35-0 lead against the Dolphins next Sunday, only to watch the Dolphins win 42-35.

    I mean really, if I didn't take sports so seriously, I'd probably be having a good laugh right about now.

    Rick, I needed an entire day to relax after the Houston Texans lost in frustration fashion once again yesterday.

    Let me just say that you're lucky to be a fan of another team, because there are days I wish I wasn't a Houston Texans fan, and at times I feel helpless and faithless when it comes to being a fan of a team which does more losing than winning.

    It's been six years of seeing the same thing with this franchise, loss after loss. There are times I wish I had remained a Dallas Cowboys fan, during the years of 1997 to 2002, when Houston, Texas had no NFL team.

    Anyway, I'm officially over this heartbreaking loss but it took me a good 30 hours to get rid of the emotional hurt I felt.
    The Texans had a seemingly safe 27-10 lead with just under 5 minutes left in the game and the Colts were facing a 4th and 7 at the Texans 8-yard line. The Colts scored a touchdown to make 27-17.
    At that point, the game was still practically over and the Colts tried an onside kick that the Texans recovered. All the Texans had to do was run the football and waste the clock, but Sage Rosenfels foolishly tried to leap like Superman over two defenders running down the sideline on what should have been a safe bootleg play, and he fumbled the ball, while the Colts defender picked it up and took it back 68 yards for a touchdown.
    So now it's still a 27-24 Texans lead with around 3:48 left in the game. Again, the Texans just need to run the ball, pick up one or two first downs, waste the clock and the win is still there for the taking.
    But once again, Sage Rosenfels scrambled left on a bootleg play, and he fumbled the ball again, this time trying to pass the ball!
    Colts recover, score another touchdown to take a 31-27 lead.
    And yet, 1:51 left on the clock and the Texans still had a chance to win the game on one last drive that they should have never needed - moving the ball past midfield and to the Colts' 40 yard line or so, before Rosenfels threw a game-ending interception.
    Colts won 31-27.
    Even Indianapolis fans are saying thank you to the Texans for giving away the game. One Indianapolis fan said he would send me a fruit cake for Christmas for the early Christmas gift. I said, "Sure I'll take it."

    I sometimes feel embarrassed to be a Houston Texans fan, but fact is the fans of other teams seem to like me more for some reason, Probably because they view the Houston Texans as an easy win for their team. And perhaps they do feel a little sympathetic towards me.
    Texans gave the game away more than the Colts winning, and you don't even get any arguments from Indianapolis fans.
    Nonetheless, Texans are now 0-4.
    Just a week ago. the Texans had a 24-20 lead at Jacksonville with 1:52 left in the game and the Jaguars were facing a 4th and 8 at the Texans' 9-yard line. And Jaguars also scored a touchdown on that 4th down attempt. That's quite simply a 2-2 record if the Texans Defense had made a stop on fourth and long, and it's nearly pathetic to think they couldn't do it.
    I'd like to say the Texans will beat the 2-2 Dolphins in Houston this Sunday, but I'm sure the Texans will blow a 35-0 halftime lead and lose 42-35.
    Statistically speaking ( 32 NFL teams ), the Texans are actually having their best season ever - 13th ranked offense and 18th ranked defense - that means they're above average and nearly a top 10 offense, and just below an average defense ( 16th ranked would be average ).
    Texans should be 2-2, but that's two weeks in a row that they choked away a lead late in the game. Maybe these losses are a good thing, because the Texans will get a good draft pick in April, despite being a statistically more talented team this year. And then next year we can put it all together for a playoff run.
    What's sad though is Sage Rosenfels played a great game against the Colts, but that all fell apart during the final 4 minutes of the game. For nearly three-and-half quarters, I'm sure many people were wondering if there should be a quarterback controversy in Houston. Luckily for Matt Schaub, there's no longer any doubt that he's the starting quarterback for this team.
    I'm sure Matt Schaub will be the starting quarterback again next Sunday. He spent all weekend in the hospital with a viral infection but he's feeling better today.
    Anyway, Rick... It's just a game and I'll always be a Texans fan even if they go 0-16. That's two wins they let slip away against the Jaguars and Colts, so they're getting closer to winning.
    The 2-2 Dolphins, 0-4 Lions and 0-5 Bengals are all coming to Houston for the next three games.
    The 0-4 Texans should at least beat the 0-4 Lions and 0-5 Bengals because unlike those two winless teams, the Texans are statistically a decent team on both sides of the football. And the improved Dolphins are not that good if you can contain Ronnie Brown, and the Texans are good at stopping the run. So we'll see...
    After the last two games, I'm not going to take anything for granted anymore though. Just a matter of working hard, not giving up, and keep grinding away - searching for a win!
    I don't care if the Texans have a 37-6 lead with 50 seconds left in the game this Sunday ( an even bigger lead with less time on the clock ), because I better see them playing hard until the final whistle blows. I almost feel no lead is safe with this team!
    Until they win a game, they need to play like hungry wolves for a full 60 minutes - not 55 minutes!

    Reply from LostInEternity99:

    Hey Ryan,

    I knew you'd take the loss hard. I was watching the Chiefs get clobbered and saw Houston had a 27-10 lead and thought to myself *wow, Payton Manning's team is going to be 1-3, just like the Texans*. I didn't know until today about the monumental
    collapse. Giving up the fourth down touchdown was bad for sure but you're right about them running out the clock with a ten point lead.

    Well, at least you have the comfort of knowing they have a good team but blowing two leads two weeks in a row against good teams would be very hard to take. The schedule does look favorable for awhile, though!

    Take care

    Rick
